Camino Frances – Doors and Windows

Doors and windows have always been a prime example of romance for me. And by romance, I mean its secondary definition:

A quality or feeling of mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life.

The Camino Frances definitely has no shortage of awesome doors and windows, even balconies. One thing I loved to do whenever I reached a new place and have settled in for the afternoon was to wander around with my camera. This was when I was able to find all sorts of doors and windows – my favorites were the ones that had age to them, looked a little ruin-y. Many places, probably because of the ongoing economic decline, had plenty. And as much as it was sad to see, I saw history and I saw personality. I fully admit that I had the luxury of just passing through but what can I say – it was all beautiful to me. Here is a sample of what can be found, one representing each day I walked the Camino Frances:

  1. These really appeal to me as well. I especially enjoy the door with all the rusted hardware and the one with the strange man-fish.

I’d be rather worried about cross the ‘door’-bridge and I don’t think I trust that sign that says ‘swiming’ pool!

  2. I’m really enjoying thhe design and layout of your
site. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant forr me to come here and visit more often.

Did you hire out a designer to cteate your theme?
    Fantastic work!

    • Hello!

I’m very happy you like this site! As for the layout, awesomely enough, it is one of WordPress’ free templates! Called Oxygen Theme. I picked it precisely for the reasons you listed – clear, simple, and logical. Exactly the traits I love 🙂

      Thanks again for your comment!
