Doors and windows have always been a prime example of romance for me. And by romance, I mean its secondary definition:
A quality or feeling of mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life.
The Camino Frances definitely has no shortage of awesome doors and windows, even balconies. One thing I loved to do whenever I reached a new place and have settled in for the afternoon was to wander around with my camera. This was when I was able to find all sorts of doors and windows – my favorites were the ones that had age to them, looked a little ruin-y. Many places, probably because of the ongoing economic decline, had plenty. And as much as it was sad to see, I saw history and I saw personality. I fully admit that I had the luxury of just passing through but what can I say – it was all beautiful to me.
