Weekly Photo Challenge – Split Second Story

So I’ve decided to challenge myself and start participating in a weekly photo challenge. The Daily Post releases a challenge once a week and it is up to those who’d like to partake to find a photo that fits within that week’s theme. So for my first challenge, I needed to find a photo that tells a story in a split second. I ended up choosing a photo I took last summer in Istanbul, during the time of that country’s protests. The photo is of a gentleman buying a mask from a young man who is sporting a Guy Fawkes / “V for Vendetta” mask on his own head. I snapped the photo just as the gentleman was reaching for his wallet. He also looked up and smiled in my direction. I made sure to smile back as thanks for letting me take his photograph. It certainly was quite the experience seeing Istanbul’s protests!
