Trundled through a number of sleepy towns, all of which you can just tell they are steeped in history. Burguete was picturesque for its white buildings with red shutters. There was also plenty countryside to make me a happy walker. …
Stopped at Zubiri, an industrial town. Not so lovely but pleasant enough. Already others are dipping into my medical kit – why is it people don’t travel properly stocked? Do you really think when you’re sick or injured you’re going to want to look for a pharmacy?

You think basic medical supplies would be high on people’s packing lists: scrapes, blisters and cuts are pretty standard things to expect on this kind of journey!
yup. In this case, though, the person had a cold and had nothing to suppress symptoms such as Dayquil. All this sudden exercise, being in a foreign environment, and being surrounded by hundreds of people all the time – one can expect a stressed out immune system!
Interesting about the medical kit…I’ll bet there were people without hats and gloves!

Yep, there definitely were. And some got into a spot of difficulty because of it!
